City of Sydney Draft Plan

Draft City of Sydney Plan

On 25 June 2011 resident groups with in the City requested a meeting with the Lord Mayor and Councillors of the City of Sydney. To date we are waiting a response.

“Dear Lord Mayor and Councillors,

We, the undersigned, invite you to hear from community groups in the local government area on the problems we see in the draft LEP (Local Environment Plan) and DCP (Development Control Plan. Rather than discussing the matter through the filter of council officers, we wish to present our concerns directly to you, our elected representatives.

As you are all aware our City of Villages is diverse, and so, consequently, are the issues faced by each area. We propose each group be given no more than ten minutes each in which to present the most important concerns felt by that group.

We trust you will give serious consideration to this request as the draft rules are of utmost importance to the people of the City of Sydney Council area.

Yours sincerely,
