12 Mar, Request to City of Sydney Council

Friends of Erskineville would like your individual written response to the following questions please:

  1. Do you support raising the FSR Heritage conservation areas to 1.25:1 remembering that Leichhardt Council which has a FSR of 0.7:1 for the very dense inner city areas of Balmain and Rozelle is not changing its FSR’s, and also that Marrickville Council, with similar settlement patterns to many parts of the City of Sydney, are proposing to reduce its residential FSR in line with the automatic increases created by the new formula for calculating FSR under the standard LEP template?
  2. Do you support allowing “full site coverage” (i.e. no soft/landscaped area) on  properties up to 150M2 – noting that this is the majority of blocks in many parts of Sydney, some of which are already flood prone?
  3. Do you agree that these changes would necessarily alter the character of our villages? And do you believe residents have been adequately informed and consulted on these proposed changes?

These are very important questions on which we would like your answer and I look forward to your response by return.

Thank you for your consideration
